Safari Itinerary

4-Day Tsavo East, Amboseli, and Saltlick Safari
Day 1 Mombasa/Diani to Tsavo East National Park
Morning Transfer & Arrival
You will be picked up early from your Diani or Mombasa hotel and drive to Tsavo East National Park. The park is famous for its large herds of animals, particularly elephants and buffaloes.
First Game Drive
You will enter the park via Buchuma Gate and enjoy a game drive en-route to your lodge/camp for check-in and lunch.
Afternoon Game Drive & Overnight
After a short rest, embark on an extended afternoon game drive within Tsavo East National Park. Dinner and overnight at the Lodge/Camp.
Day 2 Tsavo East to Amboseli National Park
Morning Transfer
After an early breakfast, check out and enjoy a final game drive as you leave Tsavo East and head towards Amboseli National Park.
Afternoon Amboseli Game Drive
Arrive in Amboseli in time for lunch. The afternoon game drive focuses on the open plains and the park's iconic feature: the backdrop of the snow-capped Mount Kilimanjaro. Look out for large herds of elephants, lions, giraffes, zebras, and buffaloes.
Overnight Stay
Dinner and overnight at the Lodge/Camp in Amboseli.
Day 3 Amboseli to Saltlick Game Lodge (Taita Hills Sanctuary)
Morning Transfer
Check out after breakfast, enjoying a game drive en-route as you leave the park. Drive to the Taita Hills Sanctuary, arriving at Saltlick in time for lunch.
Late Afternoon Game Drive
Embark on a late afternoon tour drive within Taita Hills Sanctuary.
Unique Overnight Stay
Dinner and overnight at the famous Salt Lick Lodge. The lodge is built on stilts and overlooks a permanent waterhole, providing a spectacular sight of wildlife, especially elephants, gathering to drink in the evening.
Day 4 Saltlick back to Diani/Mombasa Coast
Final Morning Drive & Breakfast
Your final day starts with an early morning game drive, followed by a hearty breakfast at the lodge.
Departure
Check out and embark on the scenic drive back towards the coastal area of Diani-Mombasa, where you will have lunch before being dropped off at your hotel.

  1. Best Time to Visit: The dry season (June to October) is ideal for wildlife viewing, as animals gather around water sources. However, these parks are accessible year-round.
  2. Health and Safety: Ensure you have the necessary vaccinations and carry anti-malarial medication. Travel insurance is highly recommended.
  3. Packing Essentials: Comfortable safari clothing, a good camera, sunscreen, and insect repellent.
