4 Days Tsavo East, Amboseli & Salt Lick Grand Safari
Day 1 Mombasa/Diani to Tsavo East National Park
Morning Pick-up & En-Route Game Drive
Start with an early morning pick-up from your coastal hotel or Diani. Drive along the Mombasa-Nairobi highway, entering Tsavo East through Bachuma Gate. Begin an immediate game drive, searching for the park's immense herds of elephants and buffalo.
Lunch & Afternoon Safari
Check in and enjoy lunch at your pre-booked lodge/camp. After a brief rest, embark on an extensive afternoon game drive, exploring the sprawling, open plains, which are ideal for spotting predators and the 'maneless' lions of Tsavo.
Evening
Dinner and overnight at the Lodge/Camp in Tsavo East.
Day 2 Tsavo East to Amboseli National Park
Morning Drive & Transfer
After an early breakfast, check out and enjoy a final en-route game drive as you exit Tsavo East. Drive westward towards Amboseli National Park (approx. 4-5 hours transfer).
Arrival & Afternoon Game Drive
Arrive at Amboseli with an en-route game drive, checking into your lodge/camp (e.g., Kibo Safari Camp, Kilima Camp) for lunch. The afternoon safari focuses on the park's famous marshlands, where the greatest concentration of wildlife—especially large-tusked elephants, lions, cheetah, and buffalo—can be found.
Highlight: Amboseli offers the most spectacular panoramic views of the magnificent snow-capped Mount Kilimanjaro.
Evening
Dinner and overnight stay in Amboseli.
Day 3 Amboseli to Salt Lick Safari Lodge (Taita Hills)
Sunrise Game Drive & Breakfast
Embark on an exhilarating early morning game drive to catch the best light and the most active wildlife, with Mount Kilimanjaro fully visible. Return to the lodge for breakfast and check-out.
Transfer to Taita Hills Sanctuary
Drive from Amboseli to the neighboring Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary (approx. 2-3 hours). You will arrive at Taita Hills Safari Resort for lunch before transferring to the iconic Salt Lick Safari Lodge.
Afternoon Safari & Night Game Viewing
Enjoy an afternoon game drive within the Taita Hills Sanctuary. The evening is spent at Salt Lick, enjoying dinner and the unique floodlit game viewing experience as animals, particularly elephants and buffalo, gather at the waterhole beneath the stilted lodge.
Day 4 Salt Lick to Mombasa/Diani Drop-off
Morning Viewing & Breakfast
Enjoy a final hour of wildlife viewing from your room or the lodge's main lounge. Have a last sumptuous safari breakfast and check out.
Final Game Drive & Transfer
Take a short final game drive en-route as you exit the Taita Hills Sanctuary. Begin the long road transfer back to the Kenyan coast.
Afternoon Arrival at Coast
Arrive in Mombasa or Diani Beach in the afternoon (including a stop for lunch en-route), where you will be dropped off at your hotel or the airport, concluding your safari.

  1. Best Time to Visit: The dry season (June to October) is ideal for wildlife viewing, as animals gather around water sources. However, these parks are accessible year-round.
